Business Activities of Chris Wine sold to Premium Wine Denmark

Premium Wine A/S represented by Mr. Philip Sager has acquired Chris Wine AB (Sweden, Finland and Norway) as well as the business activities in Denmark from Chris Wine A/S. The acquisition which was made together with a group of external investors has effect from 15th September 2009. With the acquisition the two companies are merged and will continue to operate in the Nordic under the name of Chris Wine Nordic A/S, with the subsidiaries Chris Wine Sweden, Chris Wine Finland and Chris Wine Norway.

Mr. Philip Sager has been appointed managing director of Chris Wine Nordic A/S and will be responsible for the group of companies as well as the management of the Danish company. The former owner of Chris Wine, Mr. Gert Carl, will continue as managing director and co-owner of the new Chris Wine Nordic A/S, and will be the managing director of Sweden, Norway and Finland.

Former owner of Chris Wine, Mr. Michael Carl, will concentrate on the international part of the operation in the future. Under the company name of Carl Wine A/S Mr. Michael Carl will focus on the managing and selling the wines from the family properties Château de Seguin and Villa Bona Terra, as well as other Bordeaux wines. In addition to this the company represents the wines from Château de Caix in Cahors.

Mr. Jens Helmbæk, former Managing Director of Vintappergaarden and former commercial director for Altia Danmark, has been nominated chairman of the board of directors of Chris Wine Nordic A/S.
 
The merge of the two companies is a strengthening portfolio of exclusive wines from all over the world, a stronger sales organisation as well as a stronger exploitation of the synergies in the Nordic.

Mr. Philip Sager is the former managing director of the wine & spirit distributor Maxxium Denmark and of the wine importer Fondberg. Premium Wine A/S represents the following eksklusive wine producers: Marchese Antinori, Hugel & Fils, Castillo de Perelada, Bodegas Valdemar and others.
